Covered this meeting:
1. Dues will be collected after the MLK holiday. We will see about getting an impromptu meetup arranged that gives all interested a chance to pay. The cost will be $25 quarterly (twice a semester). This will include a shirt and decal. Paid dues are required for membership and involvement in club activities.
2. We are looking for design ideas for shirts, decals and the banner. We had some nice looking suggestions but are always open to more options. Feel free to show us any ideas.
3. We will be attempting to set up monthly Meet N' Greets the 3rd Sunday of every month. There will be 2 styles, one being at a local restaurant, most likely Sammy's, with (hopefully) reserved parking, and the other being more of a parking lot deal, where we can wrench or sit around and talk about each others rigs, location TBD. These will switch each month.
4. Once dues are paid and an official roster is assembled, we will be pursuing sponsorship. We already have pending sponsors like 4WP and IllumiNATIONS, however, we want as many sponsors as possible to help fund builds and trips to nearby parks. Any and all suggestions welcome.
5. We are always looking for new places to take trips to. We had suggestions such as Potts Mtn, Windrock and The Compound. There is very little worthwhile and legal places to wheel nearby, so I'm sure URE will be our main stomping grounds.
6. We are interested in getting club participation in as many events as possible. Currently, we are interested in NCSU events like Welcome Week and the Homecoming Parade, Raleigh events like the State Fair, and 4wd events like Uwharrie work days and trail sponsorship. Again, any and all suggestions welcome.
7. Mark your calendars for the 3rd Annual Uwharrie OHV Spring Jamboree on April 5th.
